WUMS Portal: now in five languages
The WUMS portal now speaks five languages: Deutsch, English, Slovenščina, Hrvatski and Türkçe. The whole interface is translated — the ticket list, the vehicle inspection, and the messages that come up along the way.
Two places to switch
Once signed in, the language sits in the user menu at the top right under “Language”, next to the password. Every language is listed under its own name, so it can be found by someone who cannot read the current one.
And because that menu is only reachable after signing in, the switch is also on the sign-in page itself, below “Forgot password?”. That is exactly where somebody who does not read German would otherwise be stuck.
The browser suggests
On a first visit the portal follows the browser’s own preference: a Turkish device arrives in Turkish rather than having to find the switch in German first. Bosnian and Serbian resolve to Croatian — closer than German, and one click from anything else.
It stays a suggestion: the moment you pick a language yourself, your choice applies.
Also: the photos are back
The vehicle list had been showing grey boxes instead of the inspection photos. Two faults were at work: the interface renders at most 100 pictures per call and dropped the rest without a word, and for fleet managers looking after several delivery bases the photos of their own vehicles counted as somebody else’s. Both are fixed.
Recent changes are always listed in the changelog in the portal menu. Missing a language, or does a translation read wrong? “Give feedback” at the bottom left reaches us directly.
